Cooking Guidelines | Cooking instructions to fry: 1. Heat 2-4cm vegetable oil in a frying pan or use deep fryer set to 180°c - 200°c (to test that the oil is hot enough, add a small piece of pappadum to the oil. if it starts to bubble and expands immediately, then the oil temperature is correct). 2. Fry each pappadum individually for 2-3 seconds. It will expand quickly. 3. Turn over using a spatula. Remove from the oil and drain on a absorbent kitchen paper towel allowing excess oil to drain off. 4. Serve. Microwave: 1. Lightly brush both sides of pappadum with vegetable oil. 2. Place a single papadum in the microwave and cover it with kitchen paper. 3. Cook on full power for 30 seconds or until it expands. |
